EPE Offers New Mexico Energy Efficiency Programs

El Paso Electric (EPE) is announcing a new, limited program for its New Mexico customers to encourage the installation of high-efficiency evaporative cooling systems and air conditioners for EPE residential customers. Program details will be presented January 21st as described below.

Under the EPESaver Program, incentives will be paid directly to eligible customers for the installation of qualifying residential and commercial/industrial efficiency improvements. Over $175,000 residential efficiency rebates are available in 2009 for:

We invite you to learn more about the program and to help your customers apply to participate. EPE will be requiring program participants to follow certain eligibility guidelines and installation standards.

EPE will hold two online presentations (“Webinars”) on January 21, 2009 to further explain the program to our area contractors. You can attend these Webinars from the comfort of your office or home by logging into a URL that will be forwarded to registered participants.

The morning session will address the EPESaver™ residential energy efficiency rebate program. It will be conducted from 9:30 to 11:00 AM Mountain Time. The Webinar will be held open for up to an hour after the meeting conclusion to help answer contractor questions.

The afternoon session will address the EPESaver Commercial program. It will be conducted from 1:30 to 3 PM Mountain Time. The afternoon session will also be held open for up to an hour for a question and answer session.
